You could also use oat flour in place of the almond flour if you have a nut-allergy.<\/li>\n<li><strong>peanut butter<\/strong> \u2013 I used natural creamy peanut butter with no added sugar, but any nut butter will work in these or even sunflower butter if you have a nut allergy.<\/li>\n<li><strong>protein powder<\/strong> \u2013 feel free to use your favorite plant-based <a href=\"https:\/\/urlgeni.us\/amzn\/Dqk1S\">protein powder<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/urlgeni.us\/amzn\/3Ig5m\">whey protein powder<\/a> in these bars. You can also use vanilla protein powder or other flavors such as chocolate, peanut butter or even cinnamon.<\/li>\n<li><strong>honey<\/strong> \u2013 naturally sweetens these bars without using any refined sugar and helps to hold them together, but you could also use maple syrup or other natural sweetener.<\/li>\n<li><strong>milk<\/strong> \u2013 I used unsweetened almond milk, but any type of milk will work in this recipe.<\/li>\n<li><strong>vanilla extract<\/strong> \u2013 delicious boost of flavor!<\/li>\n<li><strong>chocolate chips <\/strong>\u2013 I used\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3UnbZKC\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lily\u2019s chocolate <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/urlgeni.us\/amzn\/G7fqZ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">chips<\/a>\u00a0which are gluten-free and sweetened with stevia making the sugar content really low. You could also use <a href=\"https:\/\/urlgeni.us\/amzn\/VSotR\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lily\u2019s dark chocolate chips<\/a> or chips of choice.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Make Peanut Butter Protein Bars<\/h2>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Mix ingredients. <\/strong> In a large bowl, mix together the almond flour, <a href=\"https:\/\/urlgeni.us\/amzn\/Dqk1S\">protein powder<\/a>, peanut butter, honey, milk and vanilla using a spatula until all combined. Fold in the chocolate chips.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Transfer to pan. <\/strong> Pour batter into an <a href=\"https:\/\/urlgeni.us\/amzn\/jJ83i\">8\u00d78 baking pan<\/a> lined with parchment paper and firmly flatten the mixture with a spatula. Feel free to sprinkle in additional chocolate chips, if desired.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Chill. <\/strong> Transfer dish to the refrigerator and let the bars chill for 30 minutes to an hour before slicing. You could also stick the pan in the freezer for about 25 minutes until set. <\/li>\n<li><strong>Cut into bars. <\/strong> Slice into 16 squares (or you could slice into bigger bars) and store in a the refrigerator in a sealed, airtight container until ready to eat. Store in a sealed, airtight container for up to <strong>2 weeks<\/strong> or grab them straight from the freezer and enjoy once they thaw for a few minutes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Freeze:<\/strong> These peanut butter protein bars can also be stored in the freezer for up to 2 months.
