The great thing about these easy turkey meatballs is that they are just so versatile. Made with just a few simple ingredients in under 30 minutes, these baked homemade meatballs can be added to any favorite dish!\" class=\"wp-image-26154 lazyload\" data-src=\"http:\/\/www.firepageohio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/turkey-meatballs-3-1200x1589-1.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients You\u2019ll Need<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>ground turkey<\/strong> \u2013 I used lean ground turkey for these meatballs because it\u2019s low in fat and calories while being a great source of protein,\u00a0 but you could also make these using ground chicken, ground beef, ground pork or even Italian sausage.<\/li>\n<li><strong>egg<\/strong> \u2013 acts as a binder to hold all the ingredients together.<\/li>\n<li><strong>breadcrumbs<\/strong> \u2013 I used Italian bread crumbs to help bind the meatballs to keep their round shape and hold moisture, but feel free use gluten-free bread crumbs, panko breadcrumbs or almond flour if low carb.<\/li>\n<li><strong>parmesan cheese<\/strong> \u2013 freshly grated parmesan cheese adds even more flavor!<\/li>\n<li><strong>onion<\/strong> \u2013 I grated half a medium yellow onion, but you could also use one teaspoon onion powder.\u00a0 You could also finely chop the onion rather than grating if you prefer.<\/li>\n<li><strong>garlic<\/strong> \u2013 adds a flavor boost to the meatballs and fresh minced garlic is always best!\u00a0 If you don\u2019t have fresh garlic cloves, feel free to use a 1\/2 teaspoon garlic powder.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Worcestershire sauce<\/strong> \u2013 I love the sweet, tangy flavor this adds to these meatballs!  You could also use soy sauce or tamari.<\/li>\n<li><strong>parsley<\/strong> \u2013 I love adding in fresh herbs for earthiness and pop of color, but you could also add in some fresh basil, rosemary or thyme.<\/li>\n<li><strong>seasonings<\/strong> \u2013 a combination of Italian seasoning, salt and black pepper.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Make Turkey Meatballs<\/h2>\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Make the meatballs.<\/strong>\u00a0 In a large mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, egg, breadcrumbs, onion, garlic, parmesan cheese, Worcestershire sauce, Italian seasoning and salt\/pepper until all combined.\u00a0 <\/li>\n<li><strong>Shape into balls. <\/strong> Using a small to medium cookie scoop (I use this\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/urlgeni.us\/amzn\/scop\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">1.2 tablespoon size scoop<\/a>), make 1-inch sized balls from the mixture and place on a prepared <a href=\"https:\/\/urlgeni.us\/amzn\/sheetpn\">baking sheet<\/a> sprayed with non-stick spray or parchment paper (you should get about 30 meatballs). The cookie scoop helps make sure the meatballs are all uniform in size.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Bake.<\/strong>\u00a0 Pop the meatballs in the oven at 400 degrees F and bake for about 16 to 20 minutes, until lightly browned and cooked through. Meatballs should have an internal temp of 165 degrees F when inserting a <a href=\"https:\/\/urlgeni.us\/amzn\/E1x0t\">meat thermometer<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"1800\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" alt=\"These Easy Turkey Meatballs are tender, juicy and packed with flavor!  Made with just a few simple ingredients in under 30 minutes, these baked homemade meatballs can be added to any favorite dish!\" class=\"wp-image-26153 lazyload\" data-src=\"http:\/\/www.firepageohio.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/01\/turkey-meatballs-2-1200x1800-1.jpg\"><\/figure>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to Serve Turkey Meatballs<\/h2>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>As a main dish<\/strong> \u2013 serve over cauliflower rice, regular rice or orzo along with broccoli or other vegetables.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Spaghetti and meatballs<\/strong> \u2013 serve over pasta, spaghetti squash or zucchini noodles with your favorite <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eatyourselfskinny.com\/simple-marinara-sauce\/\">marinara<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eatyourselfskinny.com\/loaded-veggie-tomato-sauce\/\">tomato sauce<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>In a sub sandwich<\/strong> \u2013 serve the meatballs in a sub roll with all your favorite toppings.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Added to soup<\/strong> \u2013 make the meatballs a little smaller and add them to your favorite soup!  <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eatyourselfskinny.com\/olive-garden-inspired-minestrone-soup\/\">Minestrone soup<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eatyourselfskinny.com\/sausage-spinach-tortellini-soup\/\">creamy tortellini soup<\/a> and this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eatyourselfskinny.com\/spicy-sausage-and-kale-soup\/\">sausage soup<\/a> all make great options.<\/li>\n<li><strong>In a salad<\/strong> \u2013 add the meatballs to any of your favorite salads like this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eatyourselfskinny.com\/healthy-greek-salad\/\">Greek salad<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eatyourselfskinny.com\/healthy-chicken-caesar-salad\/\">Caesar salad<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eatyourselfskinny.com\/mediterranean-chopped-salad\/\">Mediterranean salad<\/a>, or this <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eatyourselfskinny.com\/wild-rice-chicken-salad\/\">wild rice salad<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li><strong>As an appetizer<\/strong> \u2013 double or triple this recipe and serve with toothpicks for a delicious party appetizer!  Try my recipe for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eatyourselfskinny.com\/cranberry-cocktail-meatballs\/\">cranberry meatballs<\/a> or these <a href=\"https:\/\/www.eatyourselfskinny.com\/buffalo-chicken-meatballs\/\">buffalo chicken meatballs<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Prepping and Storage<\/h2>\n<p><strong>To Prep:<\/strong>\u00a0These meatballs can easily be prepped ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator tightly covered for 2 or 3 days before baking.\u00a0 Then when you\u2019re ready to bake, pop them in the oven and make the sauce on the stove as directed.\u00a0 You can also easily prep the sauce ahead of time too!\u00a0 Just reheat in a saucepan right before tossing with the meatballs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Store:\u00a0<\/strong>If you\u2019re planning on storing these meatballs for later, let them cool completely then store then in a sealed, airtight container in your fridge for up to\u00a0<strong>3 to 4 days<\/strong>. The sauce itself will last up to two weeks in your fridge or you could freeze the sauce separately for up to 3 months in a sealed, airtight container.<\/p>\n<p><strong>To Freeze:\u00a0<\/strong>These meatballs are freezer-friendly too and will last for up to\u00a0<strong>3 to 4 months<\/strong>\u00a0frozen.\u00a0 To reheat, simply thaw the meatballs out in the fridge and place them in a skillet on low heat, stirring often, until warmed through.\u00a0 You could also reheat them in the microwave for 1 to 2 minutes.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1200\" height=\"1800\" src=\"data:image\/gif;base64,R0lGODlhAQABAAAAACH5BAEKAAEALAAAAAABAAEAAAICTAEAOw==\" alt=\"These Easy Turkey Meatballs are tender, juicy and packed with flavor!
